Christmas wreaths for veteran graves
This was Poulsbo Municipal Cemetery's first year of participating in Wreaths Across America.
Thank you to all the
wonderful volunteers for the success we had this year. If you are
interested in helping with this kick off for next year, Poulsbo Noon
Lions Club is a fund-raising group (WA0142P). wreathsacrossamerica.org/WA0142P
At noon today Wreaths Across America was at the cemetery to remember and honor our veterans through the laying of
"Remembrance Wreaths" on the graves of our fallen heroes. Lion Linda
Schwind (red coat below) organized the event today with the Poulsbo Veterans
of Foreign Wars, Post 2463, the Rotary Club of Poulsbo-North Kitsap, and
the Poulsbo American Legion, Post 245. These veterans groups, scouts,
four other Lions (Joyce Smith, Steve Calhoun, Karl Ostheller and Harlan
Knudsen), and two North Kitsap Leos (Michael and Shelby) helped place
the wreaths. The Leos also paid for 5 of the wreaths.

Happy holidays from Camp Leo
Hello, and happy holidays from Camp Leo! We wanted to take just a moment at the close of the year to say THANK YOU to the Lions clubs across Western Washington who supported our camp programs in 2019. We had a great camp year, and thanks to your support we were able to accomplish a lot in 2019, including:
296 campers attended 4 summer camp sessions
43 attended our teen leadership weekend
74 adults attended our ConnecT1D Adult Retreat
179 family members attended Family Camp
277 volunteers supported our 2019 programs
We are so appreciative of the continued support of Lions. From
volunteering at camp to helping with camper scholarships, Lions have
always been there to make sure campers with diabetes have the support
they need. As another way to say thanks, one of our campers has
prepared a special video message she wanted to share with the Lions,
which we hope you will enjoy and will share with other members of your
club: Special Thank You Lions Video Link
2020 will mark the 30th year anniversary of Camp Leo, and we are so proud and thankful of the history and impact of Camp Leo, which has reached thousands of people over the years. As we celebrate 30 years together in 2020, and plan for the future, we look forward to the continued partnership with the Lions. Thank you all!
