Leos of the Year named for Kingston, North Kitsap high schools

Tara Battaglia was named Leo of the Year for our entire 19C District. Tara, a NKHS Leo, received her award for outstanding leadership and community service from District Governor Jan Weatherly.

Kingston High Leo Chris Nardelli and North Kitsap High Leo Nate Blanchard were named Leo of the Year for their leadership at today's lunch meeting. The awards were presented by Lion Karl Ostheller, our club liaison.

Shields' last advisory meeting; Risley awarded for membership

Zone Chair Ginger Shields kicked off the meeting with a lot of introductions including DG Al Hedstrom, P.DG.’s Zone Chairs, Past Zone Chairs and guests. In attendance... visiting Zone Chair C6 Sharon Sikes and Zone Chair C3 Bob Johnson.

The clubs in C4 are on fire with great community projects and they are doing well getting the information out to their communities.

Each one of the clubs gave their reports. There is a whole lot of working being done in C 4 clubs. A big thank you from ZC Ginger to each and every club.

Side Business Announcements:
PDG Dave Risley said the District website is now up and running as it “crashed”. Kudos go to PDG Dave as he has worked long and hard on this. He is asking members to go into the site and see how it is working. If you have problems contact Dave.
The District PR Team has created a quick reference brochures and rack cards. Consider inviting the District PR team as the program for your club meeting and learn about what they have to say.

Awards, new member and visit from district governor

 
 
These Poulsbo Lions were presented chevrons for years of service for District Governor John Kirry at our November 6 noon meeting.  Poulsbo Lion Steve Calhoun receives The Power of Lions award from DG Kirry. Calhoun was recognized as an outstanding Lion who tends to fly under the radar. He’s been a member for only 9 months and has done more in the name of service than most of our members after five years.
