Dahlquist named Lion of the Quarter

 



Poulsbo Lions Treasurer Jay Dahlquist was honored January 30 as the Lion of the Quarter by President Pat Burch. Congrats to Lion Jay!

First preschool screening at library a success

 

Evening Pride Lion Dottie Ridgeway shows off the screening device with Poulsbo Noon Lion President Pat Burch and Lion Pauline Ostheller Jan. 29 at the Pousbo Library.

This was the Poulsbo Lions' first preschool vision screening event. Six children, aged 1-1/2 to 7 years, were screened. Three of the six were referred to their local medical provider for follow-up. In the photo above, Lion Larry Linn and Lion Sherry Burch are shown with a boy and his mom.

EMTs given $500 to help with disaster relief efforts

 

It's nice to be thanked for the good deeds our club does. Our Fall Fling Dinner/Auction provided funds to give $500 to local EMTs who flew to the Philippines to help with disaster relief.

Smith reaches 10 years

 

Poulsbo Noon Lion member Joyce Smith reached 10 years and received a special pin from Lions International at our January 23 meeting.

Going to the dogs

 

Our Poulsbo Lions Club received a nice letter of thanks for contributing $1,000 of our Fall Fling Dinner/Auction funds to a narcotics dog for the city.

From speaker to new member

Our newest Poulsbo Lion is Patrick Mus, who runs the Poulsbo Marine Science Center. He was inducted at today's meeting. He was a speaker first! His sponsor is Lion Dick Prine. Welcome Patrick!

Shields received World of Service pin
