Brats and bubbles at Waterfront Park Aug. 20

Come to Poulsbo's Waterfront Park Tuesday, Aug. 20, to hear the Navy Band NW as part of the city's free family concerts, called Summer Nights at the Bay. We'll offer dinner at the our booth - grilled brats, bottled water and lemonade, and popsicles. Cash and credit cards accepted. Kids can enjoy a Bubble Zone! We'll have Lions on hand to help out.

This is a quick fundraiser we hope will benefit our community. Special thanks to the City of Poulsbo and Parks and Rec for allowing us to do this fundraiser!

Wright earns president's award

President David Damazo (right) says all of our Lions deserve awards, but Rick Wright is the one receiving one for being an "Extraordinary Lion." It's a Lion and pen set. Wright sets up our flags at every meeting, and is always one of the first Lions to help out. Congrats Rick!

Laundromat price increase

We helped 24 unhoused and low-income people wash 48 loads and dry 54 at our Loads of Change yesterday. Costs have increased at the Village Laundromat! We spent $410.50 ($40 of that were donations). Ray and Ria McMahon, and Terry Blais showed up, as well as Linda Prine and Lee Metcalf.

We would love donations of detergent pods, vinegar and even snacks. They can be dropped off at John L. Scott Real Estate on 7th Avenue for Dennis Deitch or Pat Osler.

Find out more about Lions and what we do

Lions are creating a world with promise: improving health and well-being, strengthening communities and supporting those in need.

Poulsbo Lions pick up litter, help the unhoused and needy with laundry, grow veggies for food banks, screen the vision of little kids, provide free eye exams and eyeglasses for the unhoused/needy, and so much more! When we have a fundraiser, 100 percent of the proceeds go right back into our community.

If you'd like to find out more about Poulsbo Lions, you're welcome to attend a lunch meeting - they're every Thursday (except holidays) from 12-1:15 pm. We offer free coffee and water. It's bring your own lunch. We typically have a fabulous program each week too!

Any questions, please contact poulsbolions@gmail.com. Thanks!
