First flags of year taken down

Our first flag set-up and take-down of 2024 is in the books! Many thanks to the Lions who helped. It takes six Poulsbo Lions to set up the flags along Front Street, Viking Avenue and Highway 305. Then it takes another six to take them down. This is an annual fund-raiser for our club, with each business paying $50 for an entire year of flags being set up and taken down on 11 different holidays.

We have beautiful calendars for sale

This autumnal photo was taken in Kingston by Jolly Sienda of Jolly Sienda Photography. It's featured on our 2023 NK Photo Calendar, which reminds me - 2024 Lions calendars are on sale NOW!

Lions Gretchen and Terry will be in front of Bad Blanche Friday, Nov. 3, from 2-4 pm, and Terry will also be at the NK Holiday Fest Nov. 4 and 5 at North Kitsap High School. Calendars are $10 each and raise funds for things like eye exams, eyeglasses, hearing aids, our laundromat program for the needy, and so much more!

Look for Lions and calendars - we take credit cards now!

Once again Poulsbo Lions are asking for your support! This time it's in the form of our 2024 NK Photo Calendars. Talented photographers from around our area have submitted beautiful photos you will enjoy each month when you buy a $10 calendar. These make excellent stocking stuffers too.

Look for our calendars Nov. 3 from 2-4 pm in front of Bad Blanche. Lions Terry Blais and Gretchen Dunmire will be on hand, and you can pay with cash or credit card.

Lion Terry will also be at North Kitsap High for the NK Holiday Fest Nov. 4 and 5. Again, you can buy calendars with cash or credit.

Thanks in advance for your support! We couldn't do what we do without YOU.

Diamond Jubilee anniversary and auction a rousing success

Our 75th Diamond Jubilee Anniversary and Auction is in the books! Many thanks to the 200+ people who showed up tonight at the Clearwater Casino Resort. It was great fun!

This event grossed $57,000... and $12,625 of that is for the docks and boat cradles for the Maritime Museum (our goal was $10,000). $27,000 goes to community service projects by the Poulsbo Noon Lions, and $4,000 by the Evening Pride Branch Club Lions.

Many thanks to the Lions, Leos and community members who made this a successful event.

201 tickets were sold to the event

This is the first time we've hosted the event at the Clearwater Casino Resort. Above are the check-in/check-out tables with Kingston Leos and Evening Pride Lions ready to help.

Lion Mike Alvarado worked selling tickets with princesses.
