Congrats to Darby Lowney, who was the president of the North Kitsap High Leo Club last year and this year. Darby earned the Leo of the Year award (her name will be engraved on the plaque Lion Karl is holding), as well as a 100% attendance certificate. She also helps out at Camp Leo each summer - next year, she'll be a staff member!

Calendar sales begin now!
It's time to start selling our annual Poulsbo Lions calendars! For only $6 per calendar, they're a bargain. There's room to write on each day, and you'll never forget your anniversary or family member's birthday because they're printed on the calendar! In addition, some of our advertisers offer FREE goodies or discounts the week of your birthday and anniversary.
Our goal this year is for every new Lion to sell at least 5 calendars. The entire $6 collected for each calendar goes back into the North Kitsap community. Of course, as a Lion you'll want to sell 20 calendars so you'll receive a FREE steak dinner with all the fixin's in October.
If you'd like to add your important family dates to a calendar and purchase one or more, please contact your favorite Poulsbo Lion or Lion Terry Blais at ericandterry@comcast.net (text 360-509-8041). Thanks!

Homeowner gets new decking installed with winning bid
One Poulsbo homeowner got a terrific deal when she bid on and won a Lions work party at our first Fall Fling Dinner & Auction last September. She asked for the Lions to put on new decking for her. Above, Lion Pat Osler sets the first of 1,500 screws yesterday.
The Lions crew enjoys a cold one, provided by Nancy. From left to right: Lions Dennis Peters, Dick Prine, Steve Calhoun, Pat (standing), and Tom Settle.
Lions Tom, Steve and Dick work out some tricky decking calculus.
A job well done! Not pictured - Lions Karl Ostheller and Candy Peters.

Does our new zone zone chairman look familiar?
Though he just finished a year as Poulsbo Noon Lions president, Pat Burch stepped up for the zone chairman position for 2014-2015.Zone meetings - now called District Governor's Advisory meetings - are quarterly, so attendance from our club will be expected to support Burch. It's a dinner meeting, and a good opportunity to meet other Lions in the zone.
