Lions collect donations for food bank at orchestra performances

 Poulsbo Lions will be collecting cash, nonperishable foods and bags at each of the two performances Saturday, Dec. 6. The club has sponsored the Poulsbo Community Orchestra since its inception.

Barb Stark, representing the orchestra, picked up a $1,000 check from Poulsbo Lion treasurer John Macdonald at Thursday's meeting.

Lions and LEOs help orchestra for hours

 

On Saturday, Dec. 3, the Poulsbo Community Orchestra presented its winter concert to 500 patrons at the North Kitsap Auditorium. Assisting the event by ushering, handing out programs, taking tickets and arranging the stage after the concert were Lions Steve Calhoun, Gil Williams and wife Kaori, Karl Ostheller, and LEO Quinny Stuart. They were there from 1-5 pm.
 

Poulsbo Community Orchestra receives $1,500

We're happy to sponsor the Poulsbo Community Orchestra for the sixth year. Our treasurer, John Macdonald, gives a $1,500 check to orchestra president Steve Swann, also a Lion, at today's meeting.
