Another Poulsbo Lions successful picnic is in the books. Lions from Poulsbo Noon and Evening Pride gathered in Nelson Park for an evening of food, fun, food, laughter, with more food and camaraderie.
DG Ron Smircich made his official visit at the festivities, including the annual tradition of highly competitive hillbilly horseshoes. DG Ron even got into the action by throwing the infamous toilet seat. He eventually lost to the now two-time champ, Lion Chuck Weaver.

Our annual picnic is for Lions and their families. There would be barbecued hot dogs and burgers, corn on the cob, lots of great side dishes and desserts. Kids not only hopped in sack races, but also searched for coins in a big pile of hay. On the right - Lion Herb Armstrong starts the event.

Poulsbo Lions Club was chartered on this date in 1942 - going 75 years strong! We've raised hundreds of thousands of dollars and built many boardwalks and parks in Poulsbo. Please help us celebrate the difference we've made in the North Kitsap community by purchasing your tickets to our 75th Diamond Jubilee Anniversary & Auction (there's a link in the right-hand column of this page) at the Clearwater Casino Resort Event Room Saturday, September 30.
