Proceeds from our club's Viking Fest Pancake Breakfast and the Raab Foundation provided 11 scholarships. Seven went to graduating seniors and four went to college students. The scholarships were each in the amount of $1,000 for Lion Joe Stenstrom (Olympic College), and graduating NK seniors Brittany Brown, Lydia Leach, and Alissa Neuman. $500 scholarships were given to NK seniors Mencius Leonard and Arory Milyard, and to Kingston High seniors Korina Waring-Enriquez and Sonja Redbird, as well as April McCabe (Western Washington University), Walker McCabe (Whatcom Community College), and Lion Sebastian Ford (St. Olaf's).

With awards continually coming in, our club needed a new awards banner! If you'd like to find out what Lions is all about, you're welcome to one of our gatherings at 12:15 p.m. Thursdays in the Christian Center located at the First Lutheran Church on 4th Avenue. We have a nice lunch and a program and it only lasts an hour! See the contact information to the left, in the sidebar.
