Dunmire leads trash pickup at highway interchanges

 

Hwy 3/305 interchanges are litter-free as of this morning thanks to 7 Lions and a couple of volunteers (for a total of 15 hours).
 
Twenty-three bags of trash were picked up, under the leadership of Lion Gretchen Dunmire.
 
Lions helping: Dan Vogel, Greg Neal, Pauline Ostheller, Pat and Sherri Burch, and Terry Blais. Volunteers helping were Eric and Sylvie Blais.

15 bags of trash gleaned from highway interchanges

Five Poulsbo Lions and one volunteer cleaned up the litter at the Hwy 3/305 interchanges, picking up 15 bags. Special thanks to our Litter Queen Gretchen Dunmire, and helpers Greg Neal, Greg Supancheck, Dan Vogel, and Terry and Sylvie Blais (pictured).

It was a beautiful day to pick up litter along the Hwy 305/Hwy 3 interchanges. We have a new, fearless leader in Gretchen Dunmire. She led 10 Lions and a volunteer today. This service project took 35 hours to complete and filled 46 bags!
 
Our Lions clean up these areas every quarter. In addition, we pick up litter on Viking Way every 6 months.

More trash picked up along Waaga Way

 Poulsbo Lions Sherri McCormack Burch and Dave Damazo, along with litter friends Larry W. and Doris picked up 10 bags of trash along Waaga Way June 1. There are many homeless people living in and around there, creating plenty of trash. Special thanks to our volunteers Larry W. and Doris!

Stretch of Waaga Way free of litter


 Poulsbo Lions cleaned up two encampment sites plus about 50 bags of trash down Waaga Way Wednesday. They only got one side of the highway done after 3 hours! Lion Pat Burch took the picture.

7 bags of trash picked up on Viking Avenue


Nine Poulsbo Noon Lions met at Fish Park to pick up litter along Viking Avenue, which we do twice a year. Helping out today were (l to r): Jim Shields, Sherri Burch, Andy Hento, Carol Ryan, Ginger Shields, Larry Linn, and not pictured, Pat Osler, Dori Swokowski and Terry Blais.

Clean sweep for Viking Avenue

17 bags of litter collected at interchanges

 Poulsbo's Highway 3/305 interchanges are free of trash yet again thanks to our Lion litter picker uppers! We collected 17 bags of litter.

Viking Way litter pick-up


7 Poulsbo Noon Lions showed up this morning to clean up Viking Way for the first time - Eric Thanem, Denise Zaske, Sherri and Pat Burch, Carol Ryan, Pat Osler and Terry Blais. Fun finds include a sock, underwear, a Slinky and a bandana. We filled 7 bags of trash and now Poulsbo is prettier!
