111 loads of laundry washed this month

 

Yesterday was one of our biggest Loads of Change! We helped 21 people with 111 loads for $377. Special thanks to those who donated cash ($170), water, detergent, snacks, socks, gloves and toiletries, as well as their time - Lions Terry Blais, Kelley Vincent, Pat Osler (feeding quarters in a machine above), and Dennis Deitch.
 
Our next Loads of Change is Weds., Nov. 18, from 2-6 pm at the Village Laundromat.

Oct. 21 next Loads of Change in the village


 Poulsbo Lions will be on hand to feed quarters into the washing machines and dryers at the Village Laundromat for our Loads of Change service project. On Sept. 16, we helped 15 people/families do 107 loads for $303.

Ostheller receives Zone C-4 AND District 19C Lion of the Year awards


 We couldn't be prouder of fellow Poulsbo Lion Karl Ostheller (middle). He was honored as Zone C-4 Lion of the Year and District 19C Lion of the Year for his work with the Peace Poster contest and LEOs, among other things. Zone Chair Elda Armstrong (left) and Past District Governor Pat Burch (right) were on hand Thursday, Oct. 15, at Vinland's Grace Chapel for these awards. Congrats Karl!

Armstrong honored for 2019-2020 year as Zone C-4 chair

Past District Governor Pat Burch presented Zone C-4 Chairwoman Elda Armstrong with a plaque for her 2019-2020 year at our noon meeting Oct. 14 at Vinland's Grace Chapel. Armstrong was recently recognized for exceptional service. Her plaque says "Thank you for your energy, enthusiasm and heart for service. A consummate "team player." Armstrong is zone chair this year, as well.

NK High LEOs host blood drive Nov. 20 to Dec. 4

 

 

Our North Kitsap High LEO Club is hosting a blood drive in Silverdale at Bloodworks NW Nov. 20 to Dec. 4. The LEOs will receive $10 per donor. Please sign up!

Local high schools will split $350 from Fuji apple fundraiser

 


35 boxes of Fuji apples were ordered, meaning our North Kitsap High School and Kingston High School will split $350 from the fundraiser. Thanks to those who ordered. The boxes of apples will arrive at the end of the month. #leofundraiser #poulsbolions #WeServe
