Corn hole champs rise to glory at annual club picnic

We have the corn hole champs! Lions Emilee Burgh and Karl Ostheller (3rd and 4th from left) teamed up to beat out others at our annual club picnic at Nelson Park Thursday evening.

LEOs Dagny, Kathryn, and Max showed up at the picnic and ran the cornhole game.

Appoximately 50 Lions and Leos and their families came to enjoy a wide variety of food and the games. Tom Settle's homemade vanilla ice cream was a favorite dessert.

One of our newer Lions, Mick Gilchrist, cooks the burgers.

Brats & Bubbles booth is a fun and first success

Leo is standing with Navy Band NW

We had an amazing time at Summer Nights at The Bay tonight at the waterfront. You can see Leo, our Poulsbo Lion mascot, with the Navy Band NW, which was awesome! We had a great time in our Brat & Bubbles booth, and want to thank Poulsbo Parks and Recreation for allowing us to hold a quickie fundraiser for our community. When all was said and done, we brought in approximately $450 for community needs. The kids (young and old) got to take home some bubbles, while they enjoyed the thousands that were made. Hopefully we'll be able to do something like this again soon!

We had big bubble trays and wands, two bubble guns, and a bubble machine to make sure there were endless bubbles, which everyone enjoyed

Lions Scott Puhn and Kathy Montcrief supervise kids in the Bubble Zone

Leo shows off our brats booth, with Terry Blais, Dan Holt, Laurie Sarver, Lee Metcalf and Scott Puhn taking the first shift. More than a dozen Poulsbo Lions showed up to help in the booth and Bubble Zone, which was a fabulous turnout.

Brats & bubbles and Leo on hand for Summer Nights at The Bay

Poulsbo Lions Club is hosting a Brat & Bubbles booth tomorrow from 4-8 pm at waterfront park during a free Navy Band NW concert (from 6-8 pm) as part of Summer Nights At The Bay. Bring your appetite!
A brat and a drink (either lemonade or bottled water) will be $10. Just a drink by itself is $2 and we'll have popsicles for $1. This is a club fundraiser. All proceeds go right back into the community.
Lions will hand out free bubbles to kids in our Bubble Zone! And Leo, our Lion mascot, will be on hand too. It'll be fun!!!

Add another 60 pounds of veg for food bank

The Firehouse Garden produced another 60 lbs of squash, Swiss chard, lettuce and cucumbers for ShareNet today. The garden is planted and maintained by Poulsbo Evening Pride Branch Club Lions, with help from Poulsbo Noon Lions.
It takes hours of planning, planting, transplanting, watering, weeding and harvesting THEN taking it to ShareNet Food Bank. PEP Lion Rob Ratcliff has headed up the effort for many years now, doing a fantastic job!
