HUGE laundry day for Loads of Change

Wow! It was a crazy laundry day March 19 during our Loads of Change. We spent $944.25 ($275 in Lions' donations and others contributed $25.25) helping a LOT of people!

There were 223 loads washed and 95 (lost count!) loads dried.
Many thanks to our small army of Lion volunteers - Ray and Ria McMahon, Dennis Tesch, Dennis Deitch, Lee Metcalf, Michele Grenier, Pat Rae, and Pat Osler.

If you're inclined to do so, we could use laundry pods, vinegar, bleach and contractor bags (the huge black ones). Donations may be made via PayPal to poulsbolions@gmail.com, or dropped off at John L. Scott Real Estate (attn: Dennis Deitch), on 10th Avenue, Poulsbo.

Our next Loads of Change is Weds., April 16 at The Village Laundromat for North Kitsap's unhoused and low-income individuals.

Thank you!

Tulips for sale now and arrive April 3

Valley Nursery is kindly providing us with some beautiful 6" pots of tulips (6 bulbs in each one) that we're selling for only $10! This has been a favorite fundraiser for our Poulsbo Lions club. Let your favorite Lion know how many pots you'd like, or if you don't know a Lion, you may place your order via PayPal (poulsbolions@gmail.com) and pick up your tulips April 3 at Vinland Lutheran Church after our regular weekly meeting.

And please - share this info with your friends and family. Or maybe considering buying your friends and family members some tulips!

Clean laundry day is tomorrow, March 19

Veggie seeds hit the dirt for Firehouse Garden

Seeds have been planted for the Poulsbo Lions' Firehouse Garden. Lions Rob Ratcliff and Terry Blais planted several kinds of lettuce, tomatoes, and onions Saturday. Rob had already started other seeds. Last year Poulsbo Lions contributed more than 1,000 pounds of veggies to ShareNet Food Bank.
