Poulsbo Noon Lion curlers

Now here's the rest of the story about the Poulsbo team’s curling trip. Competing were Scott & Bev Puhn, Tom and Billie Jo Settle, Dick Prine, Pat and Sherri Burch, Joyce Smith and her friend Mary.

During the evening banquet, the Jim Stark Award was awarded to our perennial host, Franz. Everyone had a fun & safe time curling. Our Canadian Lions go out of their way to make us feel welcome. From a potluck Friday to curling on Saturday, and a banquet and free breakfast on Sunday. We were kept busy and well fed. We will be returning with a team for next years Bonspiel. Plan on joining us.

Poulsbo loses a great Lion in Herb Armstrong

We recently lost a truly great Lion in Herb Armstrong, who joined Poulsbo Lions in 1972. Herb died Jan. 13 at his home in Kingston. He was the president of the club in 1976, and was involved in numerous Lion events over the decades - Camp Leo, the "Hooked on Fish" children's fishing derby with wife Elda, our pancake breakfast, White Cane Days and many others. Herb was named a Melvin Jones Fellow in 2002. We are all the richer for having known Herb. His spirit will live long in the hearts of Poulsbo Lions!
