Six show up for Firehouse Garden work party

Lion Rob Ratcliff plans and executes the Firehouse Garden. He's led this service project since its inception many years ago.

Six people - 4 of them Poulsbo Lions - showed up for the Firehouse Garden work party this morning on 10th Avenue, laying down plastic for a new planting area, weed eating inside and outside the fence, and clearing a few rows for future planting.

Saturday work party for Firehouse Garden starts at 10 a.m.

We need help! Poulsbo Lions are having a work party Sat., Sept. 7, at 10 am to clear out a few rows, organize the shed, lay down some plastic, weed and compost. Bring gloves and a knife to cut plants at the base. Even an hour of your time will help! Our Firehouse Garden is located next to the Poulsbo Fire Station on 10th Avenue.

This morning we delivered 60 lbs of celery, chard, cucumbers and tomatoes to ShareNet.
