27 served at Village Laundromat for our latest Loads of Change

Poulsbo Lions spent $414 (we had $180 in Lions' donations plus $9 from a neighbor) paying for laundry Sept. 18 during our Loads of Change service project at the Village Laundromat.

We served 27 people, washing 100 loads and drying 62. Loads were calculated like this - large washer = 3 small loads; medium washer = 2 small loads; and of course the small washer is one load.

Many thanks to Ray and Ria McMahon, Terry Blais, Dennis Tesch, Lee Metcalf, Linda Prine and Gretchen Dunmire for volunteering their time to feed quarters into the machines, and help clients with laundry detergent and fabric softener.

Laundry day is this Wednesday for NK unhoused

Only two more sleeps until laundry day at the Village Laundromat for North Kitsap's unhoused and needy. Last load of wash should be in by 5:30 pm in order for it to dry in time.

Donations of vinegar and bleach are needed. If you'd like to donate, please take the items to John L. Scott Real Estate on 10th Avenue, care of Dennis Deitch, or bring them to the laundromat this Wednesday from 2-6 pm. Thanks!
