Club hands out $24,000 in scholarships

We are pleased to announce many of our 2024 Poulsbo Lion scholarship recipients. Lion Karl Ostheller presented checks to Allari Strong and Avery Pruden, and they left before the photo was taken. Our club gave out $24,000 in scholarships this year - the most ever!

Camp Leo dinner raises $80,000

 

Lion Pauline Ostheller

Poulsbo Lions Karl and Pauline Ostheller attended the Camp Leo Founders dinner hosted by T1 United Fundraiser at Boeing's Museum of Flight recently. The event raised $80,000 for the Camp Leo program, which is dedicated to enriching the lives of those affected by Type 1 Diabetes through programs that inspire, empower, educate, and promote community. The Osthellers presented the Poulsbo Lions' contribution of $1,500 to the fundraiser.

Three Lions receive sponsor award for Lion who's still active after 3 years

We have three Poulsbo Noon Lions who received a Diamond Centennial Award pin at today's meeting. Terry Blais, Karl Ostheller, and Dennis Deitch all have sponsored a Lion that remains active for three years. #poulsbolions #WeServe #wannajoin

Mason-Todd takes club and district peace poster wins

 

Congrats to Peace Poster winner Wren Mason-Todd, who earned top honors not only from our club, but our district as well! Wren received two $50 gift cards from our Leo liaison Karl Ostheller.

KMS Leo receives peace poster award; Ostheller honored too

Lion Karl Ostheller presented a certificate and gift card to Kingston Middle School student Sophia Brown at Thursday's meeting. Sophia created the winning Peace Poster for her school. Then KMS art teacher Diane Stewart presented Karl with a certificate! He's the go-to guy for all of the Leo Clubs in North Kitsap.

 

Congrats to KMS student Sophia Brown for winning the Peace Poster contest for her school! Lion Karl Ostheller holds her $50 gift card prize at yesterday's meeting. Sophia was there with her dad.

 

KMS art teacher Diane Stewart prepared a speech and certificate to thank Lion Karl for all that he does for the Leos and Peace Poster contest. He's the best!

 

 

Lions provide info at Salmon Viewing Days

 

Lion Karl Ostheller manned a table for our Poulsbo club at Salmon Viewing Days at Fish Park November 3. President Steve Calhoun was with him (he took the photo!).
