Postal food drive nets tons

Members of the Lions and other volunteers helped pick-up food from the Poulsbo Post Office food drive that collected food for NK Food Bank. Above middle and right, Lions Steve Calhoun and Linda Burris (also a Fishline employee). Burris said 10,700 pounds of food was picked up!

Postal employees picked up food left by customers along their postal routes. Lions and volunteers were asked to drive routes where the postal employees didn't want to pick up the food.

A great haul that helped to fill the food bank shelves.

Poulsbo Lions moved the Garvin Tootle memorial bench from the current Fishline food bank location to the new one on Viking Avenue Saturday, April 5. There was a work party at the new place Saturday to finish painting and moving items into a storage truck so the cleaning process could begin.
