Strawberry shortcake nets $1,104

Rain or shine, the strawberry shortcake leaving our booth at the waterfront during Viking Fest was well received! The booth brought in $1,104 profit that will go right back into the North Kitsap community. Ginger Shields has chaired this event for years and does a FABULOUS job! She was helped out by 22 Lions and 1 Rotarian (her hubby), and they all logged 90 hours from set-up on Monday to take-down on Sunday.

Lions Pat Osler, Sherri Burch and Ginger Shield in the booth.

A happy customer gave it a thumbs up!

Lion Ken changed our Facebook banner to highlight our booth.

Central Market makes the best shortcake!

Of course the strawberries are delectable too!

Lions Steve Calhoun and Marta Maxwell

Lions took 2-hour shifts from Friday through Sunday - one to make the shortcakes and the other to handle the money and customers.
