Last Poulsbo photo of year from our calendar

This gorgeous wintery shot was taken by K. Shields. It's our featured December photo in our 2024 North Kitsap Photo Calendar. It's offered as a puzzle by the Historical Society.

Poulsbo Lions would like to thank all of our amazing photographers for the beautiful shots they've taken around North Kitsap. We really do live in an amazing place!

NK LEOs busy planting trees and working book sale

The NK LEO club spent Saturday, Nov. 19, volunteering on two projects. The morning was spent planting trees at Fish Park under the direction of Leah of Americorps and Steve Calhoun. The other was helping the Friends of the Library with their book sale from 11-3 pm. There were 7 LEOs at the tree planting and 6 LEOs working at the book sale.

The trees being planted are in the form of cottonwood stakes, as seen in the wheelbarrow, which take root quickly and are used to stabilize the surrounding area.
