It's a simple Christmas at December Loads of Change

At our December Loads of Change (this year on the 18th), we will bring "gifts" for our unhoused and low-income clients to The Village Laundromat between 2 and 6 p.m.

Our clients need things like household cleaning products, laundry supplies, tarps, men's socks (not white), Legos for a teenager, a men's large raincoat, dry shampoo, and big plastic totes. Also, items like wet wipes, toilet paper and paper towels are also appreciated. If you want to donate any of these items, please drop them off at John L. Scott Real Estate, attn: Dennis Deitch, anytime before Dec. 18. Cash may also be dropped off there (in an envelope). You may also make a donation via Paypal (debit or credit card) to poulsbolions@gmail.com.

Rain, pizza and now some clean laundry

The cold and rain didn't keep anyone away from our Loads of Change Wednesday at the Village Laundromat.
We spent $542 ($90 were Lions donations). Twenty people came in (doing laundry for 38) and washed 132 loads (51 small, 15 medium, 17 large). We dried 75 loads.
We are now in our seventh year of doing this and appreciate the donations of cash, laundry pods, dryer sheets, socks, toiletries and pizza! If you have items, please drop them off at John L. Scott Real Estate (attention Dennis Deitch) on 10th Avenue, Poulsbo.
Many thanks to Lions Ray and Ria McMahon, Dennis Tesch, Lee Metcalf, Dori Swokowski, Dennis Deitch, Terry Blais and our President David Damazo and his wife for bringing pizza for our clients to enjoy!

Veggies slowing but still producing for ShareNet

We harvested 7 lbs of veggies Tuesday from our Firehouse Garden. It's not a lot but every bit helps! We delivered the tomatoes, celery, mini peppers, spinach and arugula to ShareNet for distribution.
