Loads of Change celebrates 6 years of service

Our Loads of Change team: Ray, Dennis, Lee, Terry and Ria

We hit 6 years of service with our Loads of Change project this month! To celebrate, we offered our clients pizza, bottled water and chocolate.

Lion Terry Blais started the service project after attending the Northwest Lions Leadership Conference  (NWLLC) in Vancouver, B.C. in 2018. Poulsbo Lions chipped in $500 as did the NWLLC and the laundromat has hosted the project on the third Wednesday of the month ever since.

This month, Poulsbo Lions spent $554.50 (which includes a $10 donation a person at the laundromat handed us) serving 41 people.
We washed 143 loads (47 small, 9 medium and 26 large), and dried 67 loads.

We happily accept donations of laundry pods, bleach, vinegar and money. Everything may be dropped off at John L. Scott Real Estate on 10th Avenue (care of Lion Dennis Deitch), or brought to the laundromat between 2 and 6 p.m. the 3rd Wednesday of any month. Thank you!

At 84 years old, Lion Dennis Tesch shows up monthly to help put quarters into dryers.
