For Sale: 2 vintage outdoor playground Lions

 FOR SALE: Poulsbo Lions have two vintage outdoor playground spring Lions. Asking price: $350 each. These Lions used to be at Lions Park on 6th Avenue and were replaced in 2000 when the playground area was updated. The Lions' paint was refreshed in 2006 by a local auto body business. They are believed to be from the 1980s. Please leave a message below if you'd like one or both. First come, first served (all proceeds benefit our projects in the North Kitsap community). Is anyone interested in a couple of vintage playground spring Lions? Our club has 2 available that are most likely from the 1980s, manufactured by Miracle Recreation. One member said the paint job was refreshed by a local auto body business in the 1990s. These were removed from Lions Park when we built the new playground there in 2000. New playground equipment installed at Poulsbo Elementary

Lion Mike P. was key to getting our club involved in installing playground equipment at Poulsbo Elementary School. He is vice president of the PTSA, and his daughter attends the school. Though finished, the kids haven't yet been allowed on the equipment, which needs the final safety inspection. It's expected to be open next week.

Our Poulsbo Lions spread bark and installed equipment on a rainy February 20 (President's Day holiday). The install was completed by Lions and school volunteers on March 1 with the installation of the "web-climber." The net goes up to a height of approximately 15 feet, but the structure is designed to prevent falls.

Teachers will be given rules and will review them with their classes before students are allowed to use the equipment during recess.
