We say goodbye to a good one
It's with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our beloved Poulsbo Noon Lions President Jim Stark, who passed away this afternoon.
What can we say except that he will be sorely missed. He was a warrior and inspiration to all of us in the manner he dealt with the dreaded 'C'. His leadership, mentoring skills and sarcastic humor will be missed. He is probably having a cold one and telling a story to St. Peter right now!
A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at Central Kitsap Presbyterian Church, 9300 Nels Nelson Rd, Bremerton.

Ostheller, Shields return home with awards
There were 250 Lions at the District 19C Spring Convention April 1 and 2 at the Red Lion in Olympia. They came together to play golf and croquet, listen to seminars, eat, play and be merry! Our Norwegian four-some (made up of 7 golfers) came in last. They got a lot of practice hitting balls and came home with more than they left with!
Lion Karl Ostheller proudly shows the certificate of appreciation he received from the international president.
The certificate! Yay Karl!
Gotta get a photo of President Jim Stark, Zone Chair Ginger Shields and Karl Ostheller. We have the BEST Lions!
Ginger shows off the first-place patch she single-handedly earned for Musical Comedy. The woman can sing!
Poulsbo Lions make it easy to attend Spring Convention, offering reimbursement for the Saturday lunch and registration portion. Hope you'll make it next year!
