Lions conducted free eye exams at the Gateway Fellowship Operation Day of
Hope October 19. Of the 89 people screened, 53 were discovered to have a medical
need.
In the photo above, Lion Lynnea's grandson - Mitchell Johnson - brought two 5-year-old boys to have their eyes tested. Mitchell also had his eyes examined and found he had a
new eye medical need. Lion Mike Alvarado of the Evening Pride Branch sits facing.
Hundreds of people received free clothes, food, legal services, dental services (such as x-rays and cleaning), a hot lunch, haircuts, and crafts at the event. Brochures were handed out regarding safety, WIC, and other services, as well.
