Lions and NK High Leos put together 360 kits

Poulsbo Lions and North Kitsap High School Leos came together January 22 at 3 p.m. to assemble 360 hygiene kits in the NKHS Commons. The kits include shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, comb, disposable razor and soap. Above, President Dennis Peters and Lion Pauline Ostheller place stickers on the baggies saying the kits are compliments of "your local Lions club."

These NKHS Leos put together a lot of baggies (from left to right): Autumn Johnson, Madison Skansi, Jenae Arnold, and Gabriela Castilleja.

Lions Steve Calhoun and Sandi Dahlquist. The hardest part of assembling was closing the baggies!

Tables were set up as two different assembly areas, with people on each side of the tables.

Lions Pauline, Michele Grenier and Nancy Patzer (the latter two are Evening Pride Branch members).

Many hands make for light work. It took everybody approximately 30 minutes to put together all of the kits.

Lion Steve Calhoun and NK High Leo Sean Millard assembled their share of hygiene kits.

Lion Clubs in our zone had been collecting donated items for the kits for weeks.

Zone chairman Pat Burch shows off kits that filled up his car. Pat drove around to all of the clubs in the zone collecting donated items over the past several weeks.
