Relief for Samoa

LCIF is working with local Lions to respond to massive tsunami that hit Samoa around dawn on September 29. The tsunami was triggered by a powerful earthquake, measuring between 8.0 and 8.3. As of October 2, more than 168 people are dead and many more are missing in Samoa, American Samoa and Tonga. The U.S. $10,000 emergency grant has been awarded for New Zealand, 202-K, as American Samoa and Samoa are allocated in that district. Lions from New Zealand are distributing the funds to the areas impacted.
